Christmas and loneliness
Просмотров 6396 месяцев назад

The results were difficult to hear. The festive period can be lonely when living with a mental illness. In fact, 84% of people said they feel symptoms of their mental illness are worse around the festiv...

Communities That Care are how we can change this.

Had this for over 50 years. Meds do not help. Self awareness is. Being aware of your past traumatic life. Dr. David Maloney is on you tube and explains why it happens excellently.

I’d already been learning to process trauma. And then i saw a really horrific accident. And I stopped and tried to help. From the nature of the accident, I knew the victims no longer needed any help. They were dead. But I kept trying to help them. Depersonalization is something that I’ve been dealing with since about six months after seeing this happen. The actual depersonalization feeling is not negative. But sometimes it makes me feel dizzy. Which is not as pleasant. It’s physically uncomfortable.

It could be a monitoring spirit over your life. Things you touch. Energy you are around. People watching over you and the people in their life. It's a gift to learn and control to your advantage in life. You have to discern what spirit. The understanding of the voices and the understanding of what and who the spirit is. It will come to you over a period of time. Just think of God's spirit when it happens and you can be the conquer of the voices.

If anyone is reading this and really resonates with what he's saying, I will let you know that there really is help available and I'm so sorry that it's hard to find. I've been dissociated to varying degrees my whole life and only through finding a VERY good clinical psychologist who's trained in IFS, Hakomi and music therapy have I been able to make some headway with my dissociative depressive and avoidant behaviours. Most therapists aren't equipped to properly help people dealing with dissociation and trauma. Don't stop trying, don't stop looking, it's taken 2 years of seeing my therapist regularly but now I'm starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel, I promise you can do it too

So sad. Can't help but wonder how much of it (not necessarily for Joe for but anyone struggling) could be rooted in unresolved/suppressed trauma which was the source of my disassociation. I also think it probably goes largely untreated because we are living in a disassociated society in the Western world in many ways.

Please treat others that have this with kindness. My 11 year old daughter and I just got thrown out of my mother’s house because of I have this and severe seizures. She resents driving me and my daughter around. We have 30 days to be out. The only reason that I have not committed suicide is my daughters, church, God, and friends. A huge portion of people who are homeless, hungry, on drugs, getting sexually mistreated, ect… is because of this and other types of mental illnesses. A huge portion of people that commit suicide is because of schizophrenia. If you ask me, you have to be mentally ill in some way if you are gonna kill youself. Something needs to be done.

Was she bullied a lot? Her inner voice is still strong, I presume there are some methods to overcome the other voices... [...] Had she tried learning another language, I understand it can be hard due to the other voices. Are all voices that schizophrenics hear only in their native language? Another language with a different syntax than her native one? Italian and Spanish have a simpler grammar than French; still uses Latin letters, but she can try other codexes. My inner voice is bilingual btw.

So curious that after years of trying everything the mental ill health industry has to mostly harm people you call for more of the same. The mental ill health industry is the problem. The issues we face are cultural disorders not personal ones and services are there to obfuscate and mystify loading the individual with the faulty brain and solution when clearly we're looking I'm the wrong place. We have more mental ill health industry than ever before and suffering increases year on year. Any other medical profession with this record would have been stopped by now. Try Owen whooleys in the heels of ignorance to see why it won't be

My husband hears voices from a severe frontal lobe TBI while in the Navy that happened before him and I got together. First few years of him and I being together he went through Psychosis, I turned the truck around took him to the VA and said fix him. They put him on meds with trial and error with me working with him due to the TBI as well. Now years later he still doesn't hear voices anymore. He is at work so haven't had a chance to ask him if this is how they sounded I am guessing it is. They were always telling him negative things and putting him in a bad mood. Two days ago we hit 13 years of being together thankfully there is meds that help him I couldn't imagine going through this all the time. However, he still has a TBI but at least he doesnt have the voices to go along with it as long as the meds continue to work.
